Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections

The ideal candidate for the Sr. Manager, Account Receivable, Credit and Collections role is someone who can Lead the AR, Credit and Collections activities, including billing, cash collections, portfolio management, credit management, accuracy of collections processes including. A detailed-oriented, self-motivated team player, with a solid working knowledge of billing, cash applications, credit rules and policy, collections, and internal controls, as well as experience with the related operational accounting execution.  This role will be responsible for the creation and execution of effective and streamlined collections policies, creating a more efficient month-end close process, SOX and operational audit process, evolving reporting and metrics, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to enable scale for the business.  Additionally, this individual must thrive on process improvement and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to drive process and reporting improvements that contribute to a highly efficient Finance team. 

 

About the Role:

  • Supervise, train, coach and develop direct report(s)
  • Complete performance reviews for direct report(s)
  • Evolving our collections strategy with appropriate reminders, collections and deactivations or work stoppage
  • Upleveling our AR and collections teams through hands-on development and coaching
  • Designing and implementing effective reporting and forecasting models
  • Build relationships with customers and partners
  • Monitoring collections and refund targets and providing appropriate reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review financial reconciliations schedules and maintain the allowance for bad debt balance while improving processes and cutting the time to close.
  • Asses, and if necessary, implement additional operational and SOX controls
  • Reinforcing a customer-centric culture in our organization that builds highly collaborative relationships with Sales, Finance, Operations and Senior Leadership
  • Perform financial and credit analysis regarding new customer applications, past due accounts, high risk customers and other financial impact areas.
  • Evolve and mature billing and cash applications processes with automation.
  • Establish quarterly aging, cash and DSO goals and monitor forecast vs. plan
  • Create and implement KPIs and other indicators to assess team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate credit policy and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the AR, Credit & Collections Team to continually achieve operational excellence and drive continuous improvement for collections, customer service and process improvements
  • Ability to think strategically, act operationally, manage risk and align future direction with priorities.
  • Combines the ability to “get into the weeds” and develop best-in-class strategies for the organization.
  • SaaS or subscription revenue and bookings modeling experience.
  • Prior experience working collaboratively with Go to Market teams to achieve revenue growth goals with best-in-class metrics.
  • Advanced Excel modeling experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of work with high degree of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships with business partners.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate technical or complex issues with clarity to individuals outside of Finance.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and effective at juggling multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in Credit and Collections
  • 5+ years of progressive management and leadership experience
  • Experience in the tech and SaaS experience (highly preferred)
  • Prior experience managing staff in multiple locations (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills; problem solver, high level of curiosity, ability to dive deep, find solutions and deliver results
  • Solid experience with key financial tools and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) as well as Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Executive presence, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to clearly communicate and present to senior management

  • Knowledge of Adaptive Insights and/or OneStream planning tools.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $89,000 - $111,200
